Home prices in California have almost doubled since 2001,

creating jobs and income but also prompting concern of a "bubble" among some analysts...

BURSTING BUBBLE?
"We're watching the market carefully for any signs of a turn, for any signs of the 'bursting bubble' that some analysts have been predicting. So far we're not seeing anything other than the normal incremental changes you would expect in the ebb and flow of a real estate cycle,"
said Marshall Prentice, DataQuick's president...
" To get a collapse ... there would have to be a big job loss where people are forced to put their houses on the market for distress sales," he said.
